Introducing Mid-Century Modern Design

At Kelly Construction, we put intentionality behind offering up-to-date design styles in our floor plans. We have a wide range of design styles that are all very versatile. We recently completed our first homes with the Mid-Century Design style and they were quickly an absolute favorite.

Mid-Century Modern is mostly known for it’s clean lines and functionality over frills. It gained popularity in the United States during the middle of the twentieth century. Some of the elements you find in a Mid-Century Modern home will be metals and a combination of natural and man-made materials. As far as colors go, there is quite a spectrum. Some people go for the muted tones while some prefer the vibrant color scheme.

You will notice with Kelly Construction’s Mid-Century Modern design style that we have very simple and sleek lines. We also encourage a sense of continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces by utilizing large windows, a privacy-screened outdoor space and placing plants throughout the home. We choose to go with primary neutral tones of white, black and wood to allow homeowners a wide range of colors to incorporate as they wish.
