Breaking Ground: Kelly Construction Expands To Lincoln, Nebraska
After six years serving Sioux City, the Dakota Dunes, and other Siouxland communities, Kelly Construction is growing south to Lincoln, Nebraska.
"To say we're excited is a bit of an understatement," said Kyle Kelly, President of Kelly Construction. We're excited to break ground for our company in Lincoln, and for home and business owners all around Nebraska's capital."
Construction is wrapping up on company's first project in Lincoln's Vintage Heights neighborhood, a six-bedroom, three-bathroom Alder floorpan with spacious ceilings and a walk-out basement. Kelly Construction owns several other lots in this coveted community nestled 98th and Old Cheney and plans on filling them with custom homes.
Kelly Construction will continue to offer its residential and commercial construction services, just in another neck of the woods. "Our team is growing, our breadth of experience is expanding, and it's a good time to expand and experience another market," states Kelly, who started the company in 2012 while working in the real estate business. "Lincoln has witnessed substantial growth in recent years, and I don't see that trend slowing down. We intend to be a long-term, big player there."
Lincoln, which is home to the University of Nebraska as well as forming a crucial part of the Midwest Silicon Prairie, is home to almost 350,000 people in its metropolitan area.
"We have more than our share of Huskers fans on our team, so this won't be too rough of a transition," Kelly, a graduate of the University of Nebraska and Pender, Nebraska native, added with a smile.
Kelly Construction has additional plans to expand to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where they begin construction on their first project in the winter of 2017.
